"Jen gave a complete new lease of life to my dressing table I had when I was a child. I was going to take it to the tip, but she took it away and made it so new and beautiful 😍. I gave it to my daughter as a present and it made me so happy to give her something from my childhood."

Upcycling is good for the environment. Don't let your current furniture go to waste and give it a second life.
I’ve found that the colour is the main issue people have with their furniture. A coat of paint can change a space without having to buy something new.
The cost of buying new furniture has risen over the past year. Upcycling is a great affordable alternative.

My upcycling business takes old furniture and updates it with a more modern or stylish look. I typically source the furniture myself but I also do commissions where customers bring their old furniture to me and, after careful assessment of their needs, I create a piece consistent with their stylistic vision for the space it occupies.
I’ve had a couple of items from JP upcycles & Jen’s service is so good every time! She helps you decide what would look good and how to enhance the furniture but keep its originality. The end results are great looking pieces of recycled furniture.

Jennifer painted a Malm IKEA unit for my baby's room. I love it!!!! She did such a beautiful job and added handles. It is completely transformed.

I can’t recommend Jen’s work enough! She took a tired looking 17-year-old IKEA wooden table and chairs and transformed them into what looks like a Scandi table and chairs of my dreams. Have been recommending Jen’s services to friends ever since.

This is Sophie, a gorgeous solid wood chest of drawers. Painted using dusky blush from frenchic. The wood has been sealed. She is so cute. Dimensions: width 72cm depth 40cm height 94cm.
This is Sadie. A gorgeous wee side table which has been hand painted in cool beans from frenchic and finished with a gold trim. This has so much lovely detail on it, a great little piece, I love it. Dimensions: Width 36cm and height 50cm.
Hey I’m Jen. I have two wee boys 4 and 7. During lockdown I discovered the world of furniture flipping and I got slightly addicted. I had nearly painted everything in my own home so I went to a charity shop and bought a nest of tables and I just went from there. Anyway, it’s been so good for so many reasons, the main one being I can work around my little munchkins and be flexible for them.
I feel like there are so many pieces of furniture going to waste these days just due to a change of style but I’ve found that the colour is the main issue people have. It is such a good way of helping towards sustainability as a lick of paint to current furniture means you don’t have anything new made or delivered to you therefore saving on energy costs and the environment.
